The attorneys at Recht & Recht have been practicing law in Western Montana since 1975.  The firm has always emphasized excellent, timely legal services.  We practice with integrity and zealously guard our clients' confidentiality.  The firm began when Charles "Bud" Recht moved to Montana after practicing law on the east coast for several years.  He opened a private practice in Hamilton, and was eventually joined by his son, Howard.

Now retired, But Recht has been recognized as one of the premier litigators in Montana.  He brought a passion for his client's cause as well as sound judgment to each case he handled. Bud Recht continues to reside in the area, but no longer accepts new cases or new clients.

Howard Recht began practicing law in 1986. He practices in the areas of real estate, business entity formation, contracts, wills and estates, family law matters, and civil litigation.  He is a frequent speaker at continuing legal education seminars, and is now often appointed to serve as a settlement master helping parties settle cases through mediation.
